Acro certificate

Mandyw63

Hi, We have just received my husbands police check and it is not a good read. He has drink driving whilst being disqualified on his records from a lot of years ago which he spent 6mts in prison for. He has had a clean record since 2002.

We have already bought our villa in Spain and feel distraught about what the outcome for our visas will be.We have worked so hard to get this far and want to enjoy our retirement in Spain.

The company that is dealing with our NLV are on holiday till next month so we cannot get any advice. I feel so sick with worry and the incert

Look on the police ACRO site   that lists every offence and the category it falls into and tells you if and when the offence is stepped down

For example my husband has a drink driving conviction from 2011 which he got a suspended sentence for.   This will get ’stepped down’ in 2026 which is when we will apply for a new ACRO which will say ’no live trace’ which is currently acceptable for NLV
