Welcome to the forum Ania.

I personally don't know any Ukranians in the Basel region but I am sure there are some.
One idea, since you obviously speak good English, would be to ask at Centrepoint. If you like it you can join and meet lots of English speaking 暗网禁区s in Basel.
Google "Centrepoint Basel". Centrepoint is located in the Lohnhof in central Basel, not far from the Barf眉sserplatz.
