Expired work visa

Hi All,

I need an urgent advice from you all. I have been working for a company in Bahrain for the last 6.7years. I stay with my family. In Feb this year my work visa expired and my company informed me that it will be renewed shortly. But because of some issues in company it has not been able to do so.
Though i am getting my salary and doing my work but donot know how to sort this problem. I believe i cannot fly out for any urgent requirement. I dropped a formal mail to my company about the visa expiry .
What i am supposed to do next. Shall i approach LMRA.As there is no clear indication from the company when it be renewed and they appear to be buying time.

If the visa has expired, then you are here illegally.聽聽Approaching LMRA can only help you get extensions of 30 days a few times - they won't compel the employer to renew the visa.聽聽For employer disputes, they will refer you to MOL. But since your visa has expired, you can change employers.... Get extension and shift jobs.

@XTang. One doubt, suppose my visa expires on April 25 , will the old company able to renew after that expiry date .

In other words, my question is can we renew the expired visa during Grace period time .

Please advice

Please note that LMRA gives the option to renew the work visa even though it is expired without any further documentation for 2 - 4 Weeks. After this period the system will automatically cancel the visa. In this case you will have to get the extension slip from NPRA to apply for the same sponsor or different sponsor or to leave Bahrain as well. I hope it is clear.

Yes, LMRA gives an offence to the CR and ask them to renew or cancel it. Usually they will give 2-4 weeks from the expiry date. If the employer does not renew, The System will automatically cancel it.

If it expires today, you will have a 30-day grace period to find a new employer or leave the country.

@XTang Asslam o Alikum Sir my visa has expired in April and now I wants to change another company and I have contract and job offer letter so what should I do I already gets One Month Extension too please answer
