The best way to learn is to get lost. When we first moved to Riyadh from the Eastern reion in 1985 it was a nightmare. In AlKhobar we sued to walk from one end of the town to the other. Over here we felt like Liliputians in Gulliver land. And they were building the King Fahd Highway which required a million detours between Olaya Road and Takhasussi that divided the city in half no different to the present King Abdullah Road underpass construction from Sahara mall all the way to Takhasussi.

A Farsi Road Map of Riyadh from Jarir Bookstore helped a lot. Cost SR 10 then, maybe SR 20/25 now.

just go around...get urself lost...then only u will learn the directions here...dont worry ray, i am a year old here and still dont know many roads...
