Dependent VISA with old and cured TB in Dubai

Hi Xtang,

I am on employment VISA in Dubai, i am in the process of sponsoring my spouse for resident permit, she went for the medical and she is being called again on the same medical center where doctor have asked her that if she has any history of TB or Pneumonia, Doctor has asked her to do the further test for Sputum for 3 days and one more film of xray after 15 days.

My wife is not sure if she has TB in when she was small, but currently she is fit and without medicine, we also have a 3 year old kid.

Kindly suggest that this is and what will be the final result, will she be declared as medically fit ?

Yes, she has got the VISA for 1 year

Sorry, I completely missed this post initially.聽聽For dependent visa, they have relaxed the rule regarding TB and will allow for compassionate family joining.聽 The visas are given for 1 year with regular test periods as mentioned above.聽 After some time, the visas go back to normal length visas.聽 Be aware, that she will NEVER get a work visa, only dependent - that law has not been relaxed yet.

hi guys,

i saw this thread and would like to ask some question,.

my wife which was sponsored by me in abu dhabi visa.

now we want to change to dubai visa since i am living and working here in dubai,.

she also has a TB scar, but in Abu Dhabi before we already pass the medical after series of sputum tests,.

will we face problems in changing to dubai visa as my dependent because of her TB scar here in dubai?

I already answered a very similar question a few days ago.聽 You will be able to sponsor her but the process might take longer.

after the approved 1 yr visa, can the spouse renew again for dependent visa? Or be deported?

After a year of testing negative for tb, can a person get a work visa?

Also during the first year, can they person get a labour work permit? Considering medical is not required while trying to get a work permit?

@ankit2230, Hi Ankit.

Even if it is the slightest of the scar in the lungs she will get an unfit certificate.

If you want to be sure .. get an xray from any local pathlabs and get a doctor's consultation on it before you go .. you might be reading about the quantiferron gold tb test and stuff . Trust me nothing works..
