Crime on Pacific Coast?

mivanski

Hi,

I just read a US alert about the crime on the west coast.

My wife and I were considering Manzanillo but now have second thoughts. Any comments on crime anyone?

Thanks,
Mark

I live in Manzanillo and the criminal rate in this city recently increased.
Even in the condo (Condominium El Faro), where I live has been targeted by criminal and many theft  occurred here. The last time the police stopped the thief, but he has been soon released.... I do not why.....
Certainly, in the Condo where I live the security is not at the top. I will soon look for another accommodation having at least an electric fence and video surveillance system. If watching dogs are available no problem: I prefer barking dogs, preventing outside intrusions, then exposing my life to unnecessary risk....

I moved to San jose del Cabo 1 year ago and can honestly state I never encountered anything negative regarding crime. I will add that I feel very safe in this area more so than any major city in the US. Is there crime...you bet but usually petty.
Generally speaking °µÍø½ûÇøs are not subject to cartel interest and as I understand it the vacuum created from Escobar being extradited has been resolved now.

Yes it is a trick from USA government because tourism mean so much income in mexico, so USA governmentn want to close the border, so the tourist would like to go to another place in USA...
