Tennessee ID. HELP

Hi All,

My daughter has just moved from the UK to Tennessee, she is British and wanted to purchase a car, she found one she liked, paid for it and has now been told without a Tennessee ID she can鈥檛 purchase the car. They have given her 3 days to come up with an ID but clearly it isn鈥檛 possible to get a drivers license as she will need to sit a test but I wondered if there was any other form of ID she could obtain. She is in Williamson county, she has the right to work and a valid SSN. All help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

She can get a state ID card, usually the same office and same requirements (proof of identity, proof of lawful residence, etc..) but no driving stuff. However an I-551 card should work also if she's been issued one, it's government-issued ID.

She will not be able to register or possibly even insure the car without a license, so it may still be difficult.
