Malta vs Salinas

Fanita

I am a Canadian citizen and I am collecting information about Manta and Salinas, Ecuador. I am wondering which one is more safer to leave and what is the frequency of the crimes/break ins in those cities? as one a day/many daily, weekly, monthly or few in a year. This is the only one concern that I have, based on what I read up to now.If an °µÍø½ûÇø, maybe more, residing there could give an ideea about it, I will really appreciate.

I think you may be referring to Manta?

Crime here is relative -- and I would refer you to a book by Nicholas Crowder called CULTURE SHOCK! Ecuador for more information and also to the web forum °µÍø½ûÇøExchange.com for more info on the day to day life of living here in Ecuador.

Both will better provide you with the information you are seeking and help you contact folks who live in those particular areas in the type of living arrangements you are seeking.

I live off the beaten track near a small fishing village so my experiences are atyoical.

Good luck and do plan to come visit to get a rreal experience of the location -- blogs and writings are no competition to your own perosnal experience.

Belief me I have worked and lived in many countries in Latin America
