Prospective Uruguay Resident

vidshi

I am an Indian citizen, a 52 yr old woman, planning to migrate to Uruguay. I have 25+ years of travel industry experience in India and the UK. I have an MBA from a UK university and have lived in London for over 8 years. Now I would love to settle in Uruguay.

I want to know if I will be able to find a job there. I can teach English but while studying the job market in Uruguay, I found that the teaching jobs are offered to only native Eng speakers. Is this true?

Are there travel agencies where I can find work?

I will be happy if anyone guides me on this.
Thank you.

Hi Vidshi,

You might be able to find an English teaching job, but it would depend on your accent.

You could try sending your CV to a few language institutes.  Non-native teachers do get hired.  I have known some from Jordan, Brazil and Uruguay and an African, possibly Nigerian.

Good luck!
