The fact that it happened shows that it wasn't impossible, because that small fraction of possibility made it possible.

Its sad for me to hear those words. And i must say i respectfully disagree with your comment and suspect Egypt will now become a truly great country and the global leader it should have always been.

I would like to thank wale publicly for his efforts relating to the Khalid said face-book page.Hopefully this will now allow for justice to follow for Khalid his family and the thousands of others with very similar stories that have yet to be told.

I also want to thank and encourage the good people within Egypt to now stand fast on the rights they have gained and only and always use this power for the good of all the peoples of egypt.

There's a saying that I think befits this: If you can't say anything good, don't say anything at all. This negativity isn't doing much good for  a thread that is meant to be congratulatory to those who struggled to get rid of an 82 year old dictator.

I think the 'reality check' that you're trying to provide may be best suited for a new thread. It's not so hard to allow Egyptians to enjoy their moment, is it?

As an ex-Egyptian (I am Jewish and my family and I were stripped of our Egyptian nationality by Nasser's government), I want to congratulate the young Egyptians who have had the courage and tenacity to stand up for democracy and freedom from fear.
I send you my best wishes for success in establishing a democratic Egypt and would like to tell you that Jews are not your enemies.  Jews, many of whom lived for centuries in Egypt and in other Arab countries, love Egypt and the Egyptian people.

I really hope that all these changes lead Egypt to a better society.
Now it is the time to be awaken to control changes, as not all changes may be for good. Only half of the work is done, still a lot to do!
