Worked in Singapore before and going to re-apply for an EP now

ashok101

Hi, I have worked in Singapore from 2019 to 2022. Then worked for another 1 year in Australia. After that in 2023 started working in Singapore again, but during the probation, my employment got terminated by saying poor performance, but the actual reason was proper management at the company. So, it was just for about 2 months. I was on EPs all the time and initially worked for MNCs. Then I relocated back to my home country, and working remotely for an overseas employer since then. But have a plan to relocate back to Singapore now after 2 years, and find an employer who can sponsor me for an EP.

My question is should I mention that termination employment which is around 2 months on my resume (I mean for employers. I'm aware that obviously MOM knows my employment history) ?

And will that affect my new EP application?

Appreciate your help. Thanks!

If you do NOT tell that you worked in Singapore before, the employer will know it latest when they apply for your EP - and notice that you already have a FIN number from the previous one.

Termination after such a short time is of course a negative point in your CV (especially if it was due to "proper management", as you wrote). It is up to you whether you want to disclose it (and face the associated questions, which will certainly come) in an interview or later when an EP is applied for.
