GBruce

Coming to the island in late June for a look-see. Where to live, where to shop, etc? Standard resident-to-be questions. Any suggestions appreciated...

If you decide to stay - price smart membership helps

Furniture/appliances/electronics- Crown, Ashley and other shops in that building

some local depending on taste, outdoor add casa and price smart specials.

Souvenirs- stall markets reminiscent of New Orleans French market including some barter, on route 1 - across from the i love aruba sign, or the street behind the pink casino.

Depending on where you are staying you could rent a car, take public transportation to see most of downtown, the tourist section of the island and even transfer to San Nicholas if you can catch a return. Take one of the 4 hour tours to go to Arikok and learn some of the islands history.  And enjoy! Bon bini

Ann-Thanks for the run down. I'm meeting up with a realtor I've connected with later this month to get a feel of what's available, etc., but will also rent a car for a day to run aroiuns on my own. It'll be a 3 daymqguick in-and-out to see if the theory approaches reality. Thanks, again!
