Bringing your car to Cyprus.

Craven J Mike

Has any one done this recently & if so do they have a rough cost for doing it. It would be under the residency  import. I am trying to work out if its worth doing or buying in Cyprus. The ideal plan would be to container it & put other items in it to make use of space. Nothing special about the car. Only trying to decide what the best option is. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Definitely leave the car behind. You have a simple choice of :-

1. Visiting a Cyprus based dealer and selecting from a vast selection, new or used. Thereby being mobile almost instantly.

OR : -

Hiring until your U.K origin vehicle is cleared by Cyprus authorities. Understand that Cyprus want you to buy here. Why would they make it easy to import. Plus resale price is better for vehicles originating from Cyprus

I have done both and for me it's a no brainier.

Leave it behind avoid the beaurocracy frustration and repeated journeys to Transport dept and customs...

I've bought two new cars here in 11years and virtually 11years trouble free motoring.... .. no brainer to.me
