Areas of Brittany

Anita morrison

Hi, I'm new to this forum and hope someone can help. My husband Kenny and I are wanting to move and retire in Brittany but do not know where to start with choosing a location. We have horses and would like to have good off road riding, we would like to be in an area that has other °µÍø½ûÇøs to help us integrate. Could anyone suggest a suitable area in Brittany. Thank you Anita

There seem to be lots of British °µÍø½ûÇøs living all over Brittany - l don't think you have much to worry about there, and the backroads seem v.quiet.
The west- Finisterre - seems nicer countryside - more 'English' - the east has huge monotonous arable fields which you'd get bored riding past l reckon. Check on Google satellite maps.
They don't seem to have bridleways as such so that would be what i'd look into - there are some long-distance horse-riding trails and it maybe best to look to be near one of them.
