Getting married in Iceland
Hi all,
We invite all the ones who got married in Iceland or who are about to get married in Iceland to participate in this thread 
What are the formalities to get married in Iceland? Is it the same for a couple of foreigners of for a mixed couple (between a foreigner and a native of Iceland)?
Are the procedures complicated?
How long does it take to carry out all the formalities?

Hi,is there anyone could help? I am Indonesian,my fiance is Icelandic.We are on survey which place easier and not cost a lot to get married and stay;Iceland or Indonesia.
What visa should I apply if we get married in Iceland? Is it true that its difficult to get residence permit for me even though my spouse is an Icelandic? It is not funny if I should leave Iceland,separated from him just because of the residence permit issue.
I could speak Icelandic a little bit and still keep on learning now .
